   Sunday afternoon, Oct. 29, at the Soliva Institute on via Cane in Calae, there was a tribute to Casalese Prof. Sergio Martinotti, a contributor to Il Monferrato newspaper, who is an extremely distinguished in the field of music. A professor of the history of music at the Catholic University of Milan, he taught at the Verdi Conservatory in Turin, collaborated as a music critic with Rome's La Tribuna and Il Corriere del Ticino and has written numerous articles for magazines and encyclopedias. He has curated radio programs and among his published books are "A. Bruckner," "19th century Italian instruments," "Brahms" and most recently, "The Music of Casale." A distinctive figure in the world of culture, he can and will certainly continue to enrich that world with his abilities.

   Domenica pomeriggio 29 ottobre presso l'Istituto Soliva in via Cane a Casale si e' voluto rendere omaggio al prof. Sergio Martinotti, casalese, collaboratore de Il Monferrato, che si e' grandemente distinto nel campo della musica.

   Quindi cerchero' di godermi il piu' possibile il sorgere del sole dal profilo delle colline e il cielo che sfuma dal rosso all'azzurro, dove ancora c'e' la luna che in questi giorni e' piena e ben visibile. (Federico Cane)
