   Anthony Cane was the Adult Education Officer for the Chichester Diocese, a post he took up in 2001. Prior to this he was a Parish Priest and Adult Training Officer in the Diocese of Exeter, and before that, University Chaplain at the University of Brighton.
   
   Anthony is married to Clare, with three children: Joshua (16), Hannah (14), Jeremy (11).

   Anthony Cane is currently Adult Education Officer for the Chichester Diocese, a post he took up in 2001. Prior to this he was a Parish Priest and Adult Training Officer in the Diocese of Exeter, and before that, University Chaplain at the University of Brighton.
   
   Anthony's current post as Adult Education Officer involves: development of a programme of Initial Ministerial Education (IME 4,7) for curates, accredited by the University of Chichester; oversight of the magnet (a centre working for the renewal of church and community in St Leonards-on-Sea which includes a theological library of 16000 volumes); Reader training, Bishop's Certificate, lay ministry and the development of teams.
   
   Publications and education materials include: The Place of Judas Iscariot in Christology (2005); articles published in Theology, New Blackfriars, The Expository Times, Crucible, Church Times, Chichester Magazine; book reviews in Reviews in Religion and Theology, Church Times.
   
   Anthony's appointment follows Canon Peter Atkinson, the previous Cathedral Chancellor who was appointed Dean of Worcester in October 2006, but continued as Chancellor at Chichester until Sunday 18th April 2007.
