   Trish R. Candler is the Client Education and Training Manager for Ogden Newell & Welch PLLC. She received her Bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in Business Administration from Northwood University and is also a graduate of Xavier University's "Train the Trainer" program. Prior to joining the firm, Trish worked at Churchill Downs Incorporated ("CDI") in a variety of roles including, most recently, Director of Learning. She was responsible for overseeing education and professional development programs for the historic racing company's workforce, which includes 4,500 full-time and seasonal employees at 17 locations across the United States. In 1999, Trish developed Churchill Downs University, a corporate education program focusing on personal and career development, which includes 30 course offerings for all CDI employees. Trish is currently a member of American Society for Training and Development and the National and Louisville Chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. Her primary responsibilities with the firm include facilitating and conducting seminars on legal and business topics, performing human resources consulting and assisting Ogden Newell & Welch PLLC attorneys with client education needs.
