Eleanor Candea, 92, of Warren died Feb. 12, at her home. She was born March 18, 1913, in Campbell, the daughter of John Candea and Maria Orlandea. She had been a resident of Trumbull County most of her life.
She was a former teacher in Niles who received her teaching certificate at Ohio Northern University and went on to receive her master's degree in education at the University of Cincinnati.
Socially, she was a member of St. Mary's Church and belonged to the Trumbull Country Club. She enjoyed traveling and golfing, and the obituary noted she had ‘‘the distinct opportunity of sailing aboard the Queen Elizabeth II and flying on the Concorde super airliner."
Survivors include several cousins, and she had been assisted by several caring individuals in recent years.
