   Pauline A. Candaux serves as vice president and chief counsel, Corporate & Financial Law. She is responsible for providing legal counsel on corporate law; federal and state securities law; banking and financial law; acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures; and tax law.
   
   Candaux joined CIGNA in 1986 as counsel, Corporate & Financial Law. She served as senior counsel for the unit from 1988-94, and as assistant general counsel from 1994-99. Prior to joining CIGNA, Candaux worked as an attorney for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
   
   Candaux is a graduate of California Western in San Diego (BA, 1973), and Dickinson School of Law (JD, 1979). She is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Securities Regulation Committee of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries.
