   C.M. Cancel is an instructor of History and Political Science at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and has written numerous articles about women's issues in the Arabian Peninsula and Latin America. She has also created and maintained several Web sites for a variety of organizations. She holds a master's degree in Political Science with an emphasis in international relations and Middle East Affairs and speaks Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. From 1997 to 2001, she was the editor of Women's Issues in Third World Countries site at About.com. Materials from that site are now here.
