Bio:Nonny Cancade is an Associate with Investors Group Financial Services Inc., leading providers of financial solutions for Canadians for over 75 years.Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1973, he was raised in Brandon as the eldest of seven children.Nonny attended elementary, high school and post secondary school locally.He then chose to move west to work in the restaurant industry in Surrey and White Rock B.C. Like many Brandonites who leave to seek their fortune elsewhere, Nonny returned because of the pace and sense of community here in Brandon.During the next several years he worked with The Keg and as a Consultant with The Document Company, Xerox.At the end of 1998, he was approached to join the Investors Group team.The start of his career at Investors Group was marked with success as he qualified for the Chairman's Club each of his first four years and finished sixth in the country for his peer group in his first year.His individual success has been followed up with success working as a part of his current team which has perennially finished among the top consultants in Canada.He feels that the most rewarding aspect of his career is seeing his clients attain the milestones they are working toward.However, it is the opportunity to build and develop the community through different avenues of service that has been a common thread throughout.Over the past number of years Nonny has been involved with the Brandon and District United Way as a Volunteer, Director of the Board, and Campaign Chairman in 2001.He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Brandon since 1999 and has served on the Executive committee in various roles.He has been involved in the Community Strategic Plan as a member of Team Brandon for Economic Development.Nonny has also been involved with the Brandon Chamber of Commerce as a Director since 2002 chairing the Membership, Government Relations, and Business Development committees.He was involved with youth sports as a volleyball and soccer coach as well.Other interests include golf, hockey and tennis and he can be found at the YMCA twice a week playing basketball.He is married to Carolynn and has two young children Braden 6 and Alexis 4.
