Mr. Canavan's product liability litigation experience includes defending wholesale petroleum distributors and chemical manufactures in benzene exposure claims, defending product manufactures in asbestos litigation, defending medical professionals in their use of prosthetic devices, and representing insurance carriers in product liability subrogation claims. Mr. Canavan's professional liability practice focuses on all aspects of legal, medical and dental malpractice litigation, including trial, arbitration, mediation, settlement negotiations, motion practice, and depositions. He has defended multiple insurance carriers in policy disputes, bad faith claims, coverage disputes between carriers, and collection actions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Canavan served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Joseph H. Pellegrino of the Connecticut Appellate Court.
