The outstanding work of our Head of DT, Mr Chris Canavan, is to be recognised later this month (March) when he is presented with an award by the leading professional subject association in the UK, the Design and Technology Association (DATA).Mr Canavan has no idea who nominated him for the 'Outstanding Teacher Design and Technology' title, and says he was "stunned" when he was informed out about it.

He leads the Young Engineers Club in school which last year designed and built an electric car to take part in the 'Greenpower' electric car races for schools events.
