   Eileen Canafax, Coordinator for the Child Care Project (collaboration with Northwestern University), started with CNE during the fall of 2002. Eileen's experiences include working in center-based care for 5 years before moving on to work for the Day Care Action Council of Illinois in various capacities: resource and referral counselor, training coordinator for provider services, parent leadership coordinator for the Public Policy Program and then Assistant Director, Professional Development. Eileen currently serves as a Professional Growth Advisor for the Illinois Director Credential, a National Association for Family Child Care Accreditation Observer, as well as a member of the National Louis University Center for Early Childhood Leadership Advisory Council. She also serves as a CDA credential advisor for both center-based and home-based child care providers. Eileen received her B.S. in Child, Parent, and Community Services from Iowa State University and her M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Erikson Institute.
