Tanya Canady Gang/Crime Diversion Task Force Program Topic Facilitator
Ten years experience working with youth and their families. Tanya has worked at Southern Oaks Girls School - Sunset House as a youth care worker, Cuyahoga County Youth Development Center in Ohio as a youth care worker supervisor. She has also served as a Family Advocate and a Crisis Mentor for the Milwaukee Wrap Around program. Tanya accredits her style from what she has learned "in the trenches." It was through those experiences that she has developed a wealth of strategies and techniques for successfully working with youth and their families. Tanya's goal is to help youth find some element of success in their life experiences. She is an absolute believer in effective communication, she listens, establishes continuous communication and rapport among herself, youth and their parents.
