   Tanya has been "on the boards" from the time she could walk. Daughter of a stage-mother, Tanya began her life in the theatre dancing and singing on a local Dayton, Ohio TV variety show. She studied theatre at Lansing Community College where she was a member of the Michigan Repertory Company.
   
   Tanya's diverse background in theatre includes performing in Community and Professional Theatre alike where she has graced many roles in both classic and modern theatre.

   Tanya also brings a strong business management background to The Ledges Playhouse Theatre Company. Besides serving as The Purple Rose Theatre's office manager for two years, she worked as the Executive Director of a Regional Golf Magazine in St. Louis, MO and has been employed as the business manager for the Michigan Library Association for three years.

   In 2006 the City leased the theatre to Kevin Burnham and Tanya Canady-Burnham who formed the Ledges Playhouse Theatre Company.
