   JOYCE CANADAY graduated from U.S.C. with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts Painting. After graduation, the desire to study with the wealth of legendary artists teaching at the Art Center College of Design, lead to advanced, intense, and best of all - fulfilling, study. The knowledge gleaned at Art Center armed her with confidence and support to open her own painting and illustration studio. The 1980's were years filled with corporate art commissions, days and nights of continual work, and a wide variety of challenging subjects to paint for powerful clients. From this early work, to national and international gallery representation, Joyce has a rewarding and challenging career as a successful artist.
   
   JOYCE now works almost exclusively with the, vigorous, determined people in the Thoroughbred Racing Industry. Working with owners, trainers, farms and private clients alike, she does sketches and takes photographs as preliminary ideas for the finished oil and watercolor paintings. Her depth of experience serves her well in this exacting, colorful and creative, and always exciting world of magnificent horses and passionately driven horse people. She is an artist member of theCALIFORNIA ART CLUB, CTBA and TOBA.
