   The San Diego Historical Society has selected Linda A. Canada as interim executive director while a search is conducted for a replacement for David Watson, who is leaving at year's end.
   ...
   Canada became the Historical Society's education coordinator in 1996 and established its participation in the School in the Park program. She also was curator and co-curator for two exhibitions at the Museum of San Diego History. Canada, who has a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a law degree from Loyola University School of Law, operates a consulting firm, Your History Matters, which researches and writes about San Diego and local history. She also is a volunteer for several local historical societies and serves as a volunteer archivist for both the Japanese American Historical Society of San Diego and the Girl Scouts of San Diego-Imperial Counties.
