Jerry Canada
Jerry Canada, associate, is a member of Choate, Hall & Stewart's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Canada represents clients in many aspects of litigation, including intellectual property, media and First Amendment issues, commercial contract disputes, products liability and commercial lease disputes. He has worked with a variety of local and national biotechnology, Internet and computer hardware companies. He has also been involved in cases at trial and on the appellate level in state and federal courts in Massachusetts including the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Federal District Courts and has appeared before the American Arbitration Association.
In addition to his legal activities, Mr. Canada was appointed to serve on Choate, Hall & Stewart's Associate Committee. He is a board member of the United South End Settlements, The Harriet Tubman House and is a member of the Boston Bar Association's Membership Committee.
Mr. Canada received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1994 and his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 1997. While at Boalt Hall, Mr. Canada served as Co-Director of the Appellate Advocacy Program for the Moot Court Board and was awarded the 1997 Steven Finney Jamison award for scholarship and advocacy.
