   Longtime council members Tony Campuzano and Jim Klingler, both Democrats, and Dick Burke, the only Republican on the current borough council, opted not to run in this year's race.

   Current Council President Tony Campuzano is seeking the position of Constable on the Democratic ticket against the GOP's Bob C. Herre Jr.
   
   Herre, 61, is a lifelong resident of Lansdowne and formerly served as chief with the borough's fire department for 42 years. He is a member of the Delco Emergency Response Team and serves on the borough's Civil Service Commission. He is a member of the Archer-Epler Musketeers Drum and Bugle Corp. and spent 15 years as a coach for the Boys' and Girls' Clubs.
   
   Campuzano, 49, is a self-employed general contractor, lifelong resident of Lansdowne and served for 13 years on borough council. He is a frequent volunteer of various youth and civic organizations and helped found the youth volunteer group Stefan's Hands.
