  Mary K. Campuzano brings a broad health background to her role as vice president for programs.Since joining the Kansas Health Foundation in 1989, she has served in several program-affiliated roles and was promoted to her current position in 1997.She is known for her deep understanding of health issues coupled with compassion for the individuals affected by these issues.Her prior work experience in the medical field includes clinical nursing in critical care, academic education and home health care.
  
  Campuzano serves as a key member of the Foundation team, helping define and carry out strategies that effect positive, lasting societal change.She oversees grants and works closely with the program team to both develop and implement programming.These fall within the Foundation's four program funding categories: children's health, public health, leadership and policy.
  
  A tireless advocate for philanthropy in general and the Foundation in particular, Campuzano has developed a reputation as a leader in the field.Grantmakers in Health honored her with its 1998 Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy.
