"One day while praying for Haiti, I distinctly heard a voice," says Zeida Campos, Worldteam retiree. "I looked around, but saw no one." Zeida was a student at Cuba Bible Institute at Los Pinos Nuevos.
"Why not you?" came the voice. "I jumped. My prayer companion said to me, 'Zeida, what happened?' I said, 'Oh, I can't pray now.. Let's go...' An excuse, I suppose." But from then on, Zeida couldn't pray without hearing that voice say "What about you? Why don't you go?"
Zeida answered that call. In the fall of 1936, Miss Campos along with Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Mersdorf became Worldteam's first missionaries to Haiti.
