E. Henry A. Campoli
DALTON - E. Henry A. Campoli, 85, formerly of Pittsfield, died Tuesday (7-30-02) at Craneville Place of Dalton. He was the father of the Rev. Timothy J. Campoli, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield.
He was born in Pittsfield, April 27, 1917, the son of Joseph and Marietta (Scurpa) Campoli.
A lifelong resident, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Campoli was employed by General Electric Co. Ordnance Systems plant for 39 years, the last of which he spent as a planner and methods man, retiring in 1979. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and its Holy Name Society.
He married the former Yvonne L. Daverin on Oct. 24, 1939. She died Feb. 13, 1998.
Besides his son of Greenfield, he leaves two other sons, Peter H. of Bedford, and James P. of Tamarac, Fla.; two daughters, Suzanne L. White of Tucson, Ariz., and SallyAnne M. Hitt of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a brother, Alexander Campoli of Pittsfield; a sister-in-law, Celestine Campoli of Pittsfield, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11 in St. Francis Xavier Church with his son, the Rev. Timothy J. Campoli, as principal celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
