   Darren Campo has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming, Production and Development, the top programming job at the network, it was announced today by Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of truTV.

   In his newly expanded role, Campo adds oversight of the production and development departments, one of the largest original programming operations in cable.The unit is responsible for more than 30 original series, totaling more than 500 episodes a year.Previously Campo was senior vice president of programming, strategy and research.

   Prior to joining Court TV in 1999, Campo worked in various positions at CBS, beginning in the television network research department and later serving as program manager for the CBS Television Stations Group.While at CBS Television Stations, he worked on the acquisition and development of syndicated programming, including Martha Stewart Living and Hollywood Squares.He also developed local newscasts and co-branding of all owned-and-operated stations and produced a daily talk show pilot for CBS at WBBN in Chicago.
   
   Campo graduated from the Stern School of Business at N.Y.U. with degrees in marketing and industrial relations.He continues to contribute to his alma mater as a frequent lecturer for undergraduate and graduate classes in the Entertainment Media and Technology program.

   Campo oversees the network's programming research and planning department and is responsible for co-heading alternative programming, supporting development, production, marketing, acquisitions, scheduling and implementing the program planning strategy. Prior to Court TV, Campo worked at CBS. At CBS Television Stations he was involved with the acquisition and development of syndicated programming including Martha Stewart Living and Hollywood Squares. Campo graduated from New York University's Stern School of Business with a B.S. in marketing and industrial relations.
