   LYNN CAMPISI - Ms. Campisi is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the Elder Law Foundation, and is a co-founder of the Elder Law Services Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association. She answers many questions for the Senior Living newsletter associated with special needs incapacity, long-term care issues, and Medicaid qualification and appeal, and has also, co-authored "Legal-Insurance-Financial Tasks Associated with Parent Care". Ms. Campisi is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Alabama Bar Association, the American Bar Association Section on Real Property and Probate and Trust Law, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Real Estate Planning Council of Birmingham. Ms. Campisi also served on the Alabama Family Trust Advisory Board for several years before being appointed to her present Trustee position.

   Lynn Campisi is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) who practices in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a co-founder of the Elder Law Services Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association. She was also instrumental in founding the elder law section of the Alabama Bar Association. She is a co-author of "Legal-Insurance-Financial Tasks Associated with Parent Care". She also writes a monthly column called "Ask an Elder Law Attorney" for the Senior Living Newsletter in Birmingham. Lynn is currently a Trustee of the Alabama Family Trust, a non-profit special needs pooled trust. She is also a member of the advisory board of Alacare Home Health Services. She is on the Board of Directors of Alabama Advocates for Quality Care and Vice President of Community Outreach, UAB Center for Aging Board of Counselors. Ms. Campisi is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Alabama Bar Association, the American Bar Association Section on Real Property and Probate and Trust Law, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Real Estate Planning Council of Birmingham. A New Orleans native, Lynn makes Cajun food for Shades Valley Rotary Club fund-raisers and dinners at the Birmingham Bar Association. For 11 years Lynn also cooked for the annual Cahaba River Society Cajun Feast, preparing, with the help of nearly 70 volunteers she supervised, soft-shell crabs, crawfish pie and gumbo. At its height, the event, which raised money to educate people about the preservation of the Cahaba River, drew 500 guests. Lynn retired as cook in 2001.
