Because of a new base policy, suggested by Base Commander Joe Campisi, there is one group that is exempt from paying Base dues. Requin Base members who are WWII Submarine Veterans no longer have to pay Base dues. Although it is in no way enough, it is one small way for us to say "THANK-YOU" to those who gave so much for our freedom. We have dubbed this program, "Adopt a WWII Sub-Vet". So anyone who would like to, can send an extra $10.00 with their dues and adopt one of our brave heroes. We only have 15 in our base and Commander Joey has already given me a check for $20 to cover two of them. -
