   As a trio of whippets zipped around a field in pursuit of a simulated rabbit, Dr. Sue Campeau summed up the difference between lure coursing and a more traditional dog show.
   
   ,They're having a lot more fun out here today,, the longtime dog owner said last weekend.
   
   Wearing a casual outfit based around blue jeans, she also summed up the distinction for her personally.
   
   ,I don't have to wear panty hose,, she said with a laugh.
   
   Campeau, president of the Mid-Atlantic Hound Association, was one of many men and women who collectively carried 72 canines to Wishing Well Farm Kennel on March 4 and 5. The dogs , an assortment of speedy breeds that stalk by sight , were darting about during a series of lure coursing trials sanctioned by the American Kennel Club.

   ,If you saw these dogs at home, lounging on the couch, you'd think they were the woosiest things alive,, said Campeau, who owns several basenjis. ,When they get out here and see that 'rabbit,' they come alive.,
