   Alfred was a member of the Farm Bureau and had served on the Board of Directors. He also was a member of the Michigan Milk Producers and their board of directors , was treasurer of the Dunn School House in 1939 and was a member of the Order of the Eagles from 1941-1944. He received the Grand Traverse Soil Conservation District award for Outstanding Accomplishment for 1947-48 and enjoyed woodworking and playing euchre. Alfred is survived by his children , Rolene Steuer of Tucson , Ariz. , Alfred Fred Campeau of Traverse City and Douglas ( Dawn ) Campeau of Lake Ann.

   Alfred was a good friend to many through the years. He worked long and hard hours , but always had time to lend a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 : 30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday from St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jerry Micketti serving as Celebrant. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers , memorial contributions to the Grand Traverse Pavilions would be appreciated.
