Tim Campbell, 28, was among the employees who played key roles last year in starting Pleasant Holidays' Caribbean/Bahamas product from scratch; travel to this newest Pleasant destination began in January 2003. Campbell serves as Pleasant's director of product development, and his duties include responsibility for the company's hotel relations, rate negotiations, contracting and co-op marketing-tasks that embrace almost 400 properties in Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean/Bahamas.
Campbell has been with Pleasant for almost six years, previously in reservations, promotions and advertising. "Tim is very sharp, with lots of enthusiasm," says Bob Froio, vice president, product development. -

"We see enormous potential on the West Coast," says Tim Campbell, product director for Pleasant. "The island tourist boards see this as a completely untapped market, and as business starts to develop, the airlift will continue to improve."
For now, it's still a lot more convenient for residents of Los Angeles than the Bay Area. While Southern Californians can catch a five-hour, nonstop flight to Jamaica, a typical Pleasant Holidays flight from San Francisco is a 10:15 p.m. red-eye to Philadelphia, connecting to a flight that arrives in Montego Bay at 11:30 a.m. the next day.
From a strictly dollars-and-hours standpoint, Hawaii is still hard to beat.
