   Steve Campbell Steve Campbell is Senior Vice President of AMB Property Corporation (NYSE: AMB; www.amb.com), one of the largest Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) in the United States. AMB is active in markets across the country and focuses primarily on industrial properties located in major distribution markets. AMB owns, manages, and has under development more than 1017 buildings, comprising 94 million square feet of distribution space in 26 markets across the United States. AMB's portfolio is a carefully assembled collection of high throughput distribution facilities located in major metropolitan markets near airports, seaports, and freeway systems. These facilities benefit from barriers to entry due to their locations in supply constrained submarkets and proximity to large customer bases. Mr. Campbell is responsible for AMB's engineering program, which supports the acquisition, operation, and disposition of properties of approximately $500 million of property annually. He also is responsible for the acquisition, development, redevelopment, renovation, and remediation of environmentally challenged industrial properties in national markets throughout the United States. AMB remains a prominent buyer of challenged properties in the country, largely due to its focus on strategically located in-fill real estate in industrial markets. Before joining AMB, Mr. Campbell was a Vice President for the infrastructure management and environmental engineering firm Versar. During his 10 years with Versar, he oversaw the engineering group and was responsible for the investigation, restoration, and repositioning of commercial and industrial properties located throughout the U.S. He has done extensive work relating to the fate and transport of organic contaminants and risk-based clean-up standards, and served as an expert witness on technical and insurance related litigation.
