Campbell is new administrator
The Board of County Commissioners has appointed Scott Campbell as Administrator of the Office of Public Safety, Support Services, effective Wednesday, Feb. 2, according to a press release. Campbell has held the position of acting administrator for the past six months. In his position, Campbell oversees the Emergency Communications Center, as well as the Emergency Management and Fire Protection Engineering functions of County Government.
Campbell, 45, has been employed by Carroll County Government since May 1982, previously holding the positions of County Fire Protection Engineer and Assistant Administrator, according to the release. A graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering, and has been involved in volunteer fire and rescue service for 29 years.
