    Dr. Campbell joined Surface Logix in October 2000 as Director of Chemistry. He brings 10 years of pharmaceutical experience to Surface Logix. Prior to joining Surface Logix, Dr. Campbell held the positions of Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Director of Technical Operations at Insmed, Inc. In these roles at Insmed, Dr. Campbell was responsible for all aspects of chemistry, including medicinal and analytical chemistry, chemical development, and manufacturing of drug substance and drug product for clinical trials. In addition, he was responsible for non-clinical toxicology and bioanalysis supporting drug development. This role involved multiple interactions with the FDA. Prior to his tenure at Insmed, Dr. Campbell held a Research Scientist position in medicinal chemistry at Boehringer-Ingelheim Research in Montreal, where he actively investigated a variety of anti-viral targets. Dr. Campbell has a Ph.D. in organic and physical organic chemistry from Queen,s University (Canada) and conducted post-doctoral work in organic synthesis at Duke University.
