Pete Camacho, who serves as the president of the Rumble in Rio board, said he's already ordered more clothing for the "ring girls" and restricted alcohol sales to midway through the event.

Camacho said he met with Bakas, a firefighter representative, the ACLU and Police Chief Ray Schultz Sunday to talk about a compromise.

Camacho said he felt that both sides had come to an agreement that would have allowed the city fighters to box without the threat of discipline.

Rio Rancho Police Lieutenant Pete Camacho doesn't believe in artificial barriers. Municipal limits and county lines are not important when one of his law enforcement brothers is in need.
