The Arvada Center's award-winning children's theatre program presents its fall production of ...and now Miguel, in the indoor theatre.The show is directed by Anthony J. Garcia, artistic director of El Centro Su Teatro, with musical direction by Miguel Camacho, Keith Ewer and Rogelio Ransoli.The performance is being produced in collaboration with El Centro Su Teatro, a multidisciplinary Chicano/Latino cultural arts center that produces theatre, music and visual art. ....and now Miguel is based on a 1954 Newbery-winning novel by Joseph Krumgold.It is a coming-of-age story about a 12-year-old boy, whose dream is to join the elder shepherds of his family on their journey through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico.The show contains cultural traditions and language of Latino families.The play runs most Tuesdays through Fridays at 10 a.m. and noon, weekend performances are on Saturdays at noon and 2 p.m. and Sundays at 1 and 3 p.m. Tickets are $ 4 for weekday performances and $ 6 for weekends.Call 303-431-3939 for more information or to purchase tickets.
