Michael Byrnes, CEO of M3TG tells TechJournal South, "This particular event is about controlled growth. It's about turning up the dial to go after a very large, addressable market that is continuing to grow."
Byrnes adds that Frontier Capital, which specializes in business services firms, "brings a tremendous amount of expertise in our technology space around managed services. This is partner capital."He also notes that, "This amount of capital can take us way down the road."
."With this round of funding, we will be able to add more resources to enhance our innovative technology processes, build out our operations, and increase the testing and implementation of new technology solutions that continue to improve the way our communications information is stored, secured and delivered," Byrnes says.

The firm has about 100 employees and Byrnes says it is hiring."We've moved three times in two and a half years," he says."Whenever we come into a new space I think we'll never grow into it, but five months later it's filled. We just came into this space in January and we're already running out of room."
The company helps large Enterprise organizations plan, design, upgrade, or migrate email, directory and other infrastructure services."The ubiquitous nature of email makes these services sought after by large companies," says Byrnes.
Impressive customer list Byrnes says one reason for his company's success is "We are laser beam focused around email, email directory services and some of the ancillary services around it such as Blackberries, where, if you think about it, their primary use is for email, calendar, and contacts."
In addition to its planning, design, and management services, MTG3 also sells a software product that provides active management for its Enterprise accounts, including, says Byrnes, "some of the largest technology companies around."
It licenses its software for from $5,000 to $50,000.
M3TG's impressive customer list includes Ardent Health Services, United Healthcare, Ascension Health, Cardinal Health, the U.S. Departments of Energy and Transportation, the cities of Charlotte and Atlanta, the NC Education Lottery, Guaranty Insurance Services, Broyhill, Hanes, Aeroflex, Chiquita, Daktronics, Ingersoll-Rand, Paramount Parks, The Weather Channel, Warner Music Group, Lowes Foods, Arby's, Krispy Kreme, Nike, Revlon, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Pepsi, EMC2, Apptix, Hewlett-Packard, BBC Worldwide, VeriSign, Lucent, and many others.
Byrnes and Mark Whetstone, M3TG's managing director, helped found the company in 2002 after identifying a consistent gap in the market between communications technology offerings, capabilities and leading edge demand for continuous availability, streamlined functionality and worldwide 24x7x365 accessibility.
