Tom Byrne

Tom Byrne, Vice President of Engineering Tom is responsible for providing technical support for the designs of Orion's bearing products. His duties include development of new power-saving journal bearings, implementation of new bearing performance-predicting programs, and advising customers on optimum bearing designs. He has provided the industry with consulting, troubleshooting, and upgrading of bearings for many types of equipment. Tom has been with Orion since 1978 and has served in a variety of positions in the Engineering Department.

Prior to Orion, Tom worked at Falk Corporation as a design engineer in gearing. He received his BS in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Wisconsin, and holds several patents for bearing designs. Tom is a member of ASME.
