Butler and Thompson said Hickman promised Monday to forward copies of the reports.

Butler said the school would continue to communicate with the association, but was interested in seeing Hickman's information."We haven't closed the books on the ruling," Butler said."We feel that there may be information out there that could get the IHSA to alter its position."Thompson echoed Butler's sentiments."We will have an opportunity to see what someone else's opinion was," Thompson said."Could that make the difference in how we look at it?It could."
...
Butler said the school's athletic program has been "exceptionally well-run" under Thompson's watch, and that HHS athletes have been "highly touted" for their sportsmanship."But anytime something like this happens, you have to go back, re-assess and do something," Butler said."You can't treat it like a freak accident. We will address it, and our athletes will be informed that they will be under the microscope, and they'd best behave."
