David Butcher

Since 1989, David Butcher has worked as an art consultant in Paris.In 2001 he created Paris Art Consulting to offer, with the aid of internet, an integrated approach to art consulting to a growing clientele comprising museums, private collectors, art galleries/dealers and corporate collections.

David Butcher draws on his fine art training and museum experience, supported by art historical knowledge and market research, to provide public and private clients with a range of integrated services including: collection building, sourcing, documenting, condition reporting, market researching, negotiating or bidding, insuring and transporting.

Paris Art Consulting specialises in the development of such a collecting strategy which, once in place, allows David Butcher to propose to his clients works of art by artists reflecting their taste and corresponding to their living environment and budget, while at the same time representing a sound financial investment.

In order to develop a collecting strategy, it is important for us to meet, talk and get to know one another.Our first meeting can take place in Paris, or perhaps at one of the major European art fairs in Maastricht or Basel.This will afford us the pleasure of visiting galleries and dealers together, while allowing you to indicate your taste and judge current market prices for yourself.
