KKCS-FM, though licensed to Colorado Springs, broadcasts from a transmitter located in Douglas County that allows it to serve most of the Denver metro area.Former sister KXDC 102.1, its coverage greatly reduced with the sign-on of KCUV-FM 102.3, was not a part of the transaction and, as of press time, appears to be off the air.
