Bishop David Burton was born on the east coast of Canada in the province of Newfoundland, on June 3, and accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 5 . He accepted the call into the ministry and began preaching at age 18.Since that time he has served as Evangelist, Youth Pastor, Senior Pastor, Assistant and Associate Pastor.He is presently an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee and is the Senior Pastor of the Resurrection Center in Montreal, Quebec.
He is the State M.I.P. coordinator and the State CIMS Director for Quebec/Maritimes.He is a District Pastor and serves on the State, Youth and CE, and the Ministerial Licensing Board for Quebec/Maritimes.He has lectured in denominational and non-denominational churches, hosted and ministered in revivals, leadership seminars, tent meetings and senior youth camps in Canada, United States, Jamaica and Guyana.He has served on the National Youth Board and the Evangelism Board for the Pentecostal Church of God for several years.
Having come from a Christian family background, Bishop Burton was educated with the Pentecostal Assembles of Canada and has been involved in ministry for most of his life.
Bishop Burton and his wife, Glynis, have been married since February 16, 1991 and have two beautiful daughters, Destiney, and Sommer.Glynis, came from a Pastoral Family and is also very involved in various areas of ministry.She has seen her vision for reaching the lost, ministering to the orphan, the widow and stranger, come to pass through establishing the Extended Hands outreach ministry.She serves on the Elder board and oversees the praise and music ministry department.
