   Charles Burton joined Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP in a transaction between Paul, Hastings and Battle Fowler, which took place in June 2000. He had previously joined Battle Fowler in 1961 and became a member of that firm in 1965. While at Battle Fowler, Mr. Burton served as Chairman of Battle Fowler's Corporate Department, was Chairman of Battle Fowler's Opinion Review Committee and was a member of the Executive Committee of Battle Fowler.
   
   Mr. Burton has represented many public and private companies and served as a director of many of these companies. They have ranged from owners of radio stations to importers and distributors of automobile replacement parts. He has also been involved in the purchase and sale of radio stations, the purchase of radio station representation firms, syndication of radio and television programs, the purchase of rights to telecast sports events, and the acquisition and disposition of many different companies.
   
   Mr. Burton is a graduate of Rutgers University and The Columbia Law School. He also holds an LL.M in Taxation from New York University. Mr. Burton taught estate and gift taxation for the American Bankers Association. He has served on the Uniform Laws Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
   
   Mr. Burton is Executor and Trustee of a substantial number of estates and trusts, and is also involved in trust and estate planning and administration as a significant part of his practice.
