    He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Hamlin, W.Va., a son of the late Frank and Dolcie Issac Burton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Burton, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., and Billy Burton, formerly of Hamlin.

    He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during World War II, and was a 50-year member of Hamlin Masonic Lodge No. 79 AF & AM.
