Charles Burton

FARGO, N.D. -- Charles Burton, who starred at Boise State and Meridian's Centennial High School, will wrestle at 158 pounds for the U.S. Olympic freestyle wrestling team.

Burton won two of three matches in a wrestle-off with Les Gutches, the former world champion from Oregon State.Gutches has been nursing a back injury and missed the Olympic Trials (won by Burton), but Gutches was granted a wrestle-off because he is the national champion.

Burton, 26, is an assistant coach at Indiana.
