Beverly Burton

Beverly Burton, newly-elected vice-president of the Upstate Citizens for Equality, stepped up to the microphone next.

"This is the same thing as the Silver Covenant, and I don't want to see what happened to Stockbridge happen here, " she said, alluding to the Nation pulling out of the covenant because the district refused to fire a Native American teacher's aide that the Nation has accused of various wrongs.

Replacing Peterman will be David Vickers, and Beverly Burton will replace Conklin.
