   Benjamin Burton, John Paul College, Qld, Gold In 1996 Ben finished a BSc (Hons) and BA at the University of Queensland and in 1997 commenced a PhD in geometric topology at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Hyam Rubinstein.He spent much of 2000 and 2001 based at the University of Oklahoma.After graduating with his PhD Ben has been a post-doctoral Fellow at RMIT University.In 1999 and 2000 Ben was Deputy Leader of the Australian Informatics Olympiad Team and has been Leader since 2001.He is also Director of Training for the Australian Informatics Olympiad Program, having held this position since 1999.
