Alison Burton

Alison Burton, Associate

Alison Burton is an associate in the Gowlings Advocacy Department (Toronto office), where she specializes in labour and employment law.

Alison received her LLB from the University of Ottawa and her BA, with majors in both political science and sociology, from Concordia University in Montréal.While completing her BA, Alison worked for Royal Bank Financial Group.While attending law school, Alison worked for the Office of the Ombudsman of National Defence, where she assisted in investigations, conducted research and wrote recommendations regarding systemic issues in the Canadian Forces.

Alison summered and completed her articles with Gowlings, which also included a secondment to Imperial Oil.She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations and she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005.

Alison also speaks both of Canada's official languages.
