   Hamilton, N.Y. - Maureen Burt has been named Colgate University ticket manager it was announced by athletics director David Roach.

   Burt was previously employed by Villanova University, working in the athletic ticket and athletic compliance offices. As the athletic ticket office assistant, she assisted in the overall management of the office and was in charge of individual, group and season ticket sales for men's and women's basketball, football, soccer and softball. She also worked with post-season ticket operations for the Big East tournaments. Burt scheduled, supervised and trained ticket personnel for the box office and will call table and worked with both Ticketmaster and Event One staffs. She also implemented a new system for player will call and relaunched the Cat Pack Kids Club. Burt also worked as the box office coordinator for a Philadelphia Barrage Major League Lacrosse game and was a liaison for the Women's World Cup for teams from Norway, France and Sweden.
   
   This past March, Burt took on the role of athletic compliance office intern at Villanova. In the office she audited student-athlete files, facilitated the student-athlete transfer process, assisted with the National Letter of Intent program, coordinated the Books-On-Loan program, and updated squad lists via the NCAA Compliance Assistant.
   
   On top of her duties at Villanova, Burt acted as the project assistant for PE4life in their National PE Day this past spring and was an assistant at the National Center for Drug Free Sport, Inc.
   
   Burt earned her bachelor's of arts degree in sports science from Loras College in May 1997 and her master of education in sport administration from Wichita State University in December of 2003.
   
   Burt's responsibilities at Colgate include managing all functions of the ticket office, including personnel supervision, policy development and financial accountability. She begins her duties on July 14.
