After about 10 years of using a hospital-built system, it's about to switch to a new vendor-provided one, a change that Burstein said will cost about $100 million.

"It's as expensive as a new building, or more," Burstein said.

As of July 1, 2003, Sanders Burstein, MD has assumed the position of Medical Director for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua which includes the practice sites in Milford, Merrimack, and Hudson as well as the 591 West Hollis Street and 21 East Hollis Street locations.Dr.Burstein comes from the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Milford Family Practice.Dr. Burstein has been very active member of the community.His recent accomplishments include membership on the board of the Souhegan Nursing Association, current Medical Director of Harborside Crestwood (nursing facility in Milford) and a current member of the Granite Statesmen Barbershop Chorus in Nashua.He was former Medical Director of the SNA Hospice Program, former board member and former President of the Amherst Soccer Club.Dr. Burstein is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency at Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice, Augusta, ME, 1979-1982.Dr. Burstein is board certified in family and geriatric medicine and is looking forward to his new role as Medical Director.

Sanders Burstein is Medical Director for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua, a multi-specialty medical group practice associated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, with locations in Nashua, Hudson, Milford, and Merrimack.He has lived in the Nashua area since 1984, having provided medical care at Milford Family Practice from 1984 to 2003, prior to his current role in Nashua.He currently serves on the Board of the Area Agency of Greater Nashua, the Board of the New Hampshire Endowment for Health, the Greater Nashua Regional Health Advisory Group, the Greater Nashua Healthy Community Collaborative, and the Crotched Mountain Ski Patrol.In his spare time, he enjoys singing with the award winning Granite Statesmen Barbershop Chorus.Dr. Burstein completed Leadership Greater Nashua in 2005 and Leadership NH in 2007.He lives with his wife and 4 children in Amherst, NH.
