Just as the Second Vatican Council was a time of great and significant change in the history of the Church, said Bob Bursley, a member of the leadership team in Corpus Christi Parish, Willingboro, the deanery study is a significant "time in the Church's history."
"Vatican II is percolating down to us," said Bursley, a parishioner of Corpus Christi since 1980.

Looking ahead to the study, Bursley noted how the study process identified three Foundations for Pastoral Initiatives: holiness, communion of spirituality and compassionate service.
But in Bursley's opinion, there should also be a fourth foundation, one he feels will be most needed and emphasized throughout the entire process - a "strong element of prayer."
"I think prayer changes our hearts and opens us up to the opportunity that has been laid before us," he said.
