Dr. Burrup attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah to complete his undergraduate education and requirements for chiropractic school. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he learned the Palmer method of chiropractic and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has also received other certifications in an effort broaden his knowledge in the healing arts as well as to offer a wider range of therapies and treatments to his clients and patients. Dr. Burrup has received over 200 hours of official training in Applied Kinesiology (AK) through the International College of Applied Kinesiology. His acupuncture certification was performed through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and he has completed numerous courses through the Upledger Institute of Cranio-Sacral therapy.
Some of the specific chiropractic techniques and methods Dr. Burrup has been trained in include Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Toggle Recoil, Nimmo, sports injury and extremity adjusting.
Before starting The Institute of Chiropractic & Acupuncture Therapy, Dr. Burrup practiced in Orem, Utah. He has been happily married for ten years and has two beautiful daughters. The purpose of the creation of the Institute as well as Dr. Burrup's ongoing effort to increase his knowledge in various healing arts and modalities is embodied in the mission statement of The Institute of Chiropractic & Acupuncture Therapy. -
