Ron BurrowsRon Burrows, of Belfast, Maine, is a Vice President of a Franklin Templeton Investments subsidiary known as Franklin Capital Corporation.He is a senior officer of Franklin Capital, which provides consumer and indirect automobile financing programs nationwide.Ron is in every way a true vintage motor sports enthusiast.In the early sixties, he built several competitive racecars, competing at Half Moon Bay Raceway, and participated in the SCCA Sports Racer Series.During this early period, Ron built and originated much of his own racing equipment in the form of carburetion systems, customs exhaust headers and fuel mixtures.This was a period of innovation and experimentation by privateers that led to technology changes in the entire industry.While directing an automotive financing operation from New England, Ron enjoys all aspects of automobile racing and frequents New Hampshire International Raceway and Watkins Glen, New York.Always active in motor sports, Ron is currently negotiating his next project, which is a 1963 super modified Volkswagen Coupe with plans for a full restoration.
