    Robert Burrows of the Avalanche Research Group at the University of British Columbia is using our 4-20 mA TULIP clinometers in a most interesting study - one that may someday lead to the prediction of snow avalanches.The clinometers are installed in snow cornices to measure differential creep rates within the cornice that can cause fracture and failure.The differential creep rates are induced by changes in air temperature (snow surface temperature).Rob has some terrific photos and descriptions on his blog at the link below.
