   John is a Technical Consultant for Hewlett Packard Company specializing in mass storage and security. Having been in the IT field for over 10 years, most of his skillset has been learned from doing rather than schooling. John has experiencing with administration of HP-UX, NT, Novell 4.x, Windows, Oracle, Linux, as well as SAN and NAS environments. In his previous position with the State of Oklahoma, he also managed their IT helpdesk and project teams. He holds two "Oracle Master's" as a DBA and SA/DBA, and is also ITIL certified in IT Service management. Having over 1000 hours of vendor technical schooling under his belt, he is currently pursuing the GIAC Certification track in security with SANS with hopes of someday obtaining his CISSP certification. His main hobby is managing the AnotherWorld MUD project at http://www.anotherworld.org which is as ever a challenge and a pleasure.
