Vice President for Standards and Ethics in Audiology
Dr. Burrows earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Illinois University and his PhD in audiology from the University of Oklahoma.He is certified in audiology and is also a Fellow of ASHA.He has been active professionally, having published and presented on topics related to hearing loss and practice management.He has served on numerous professional committees, councils, and boards and has held many posts, including President of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Chair of the ASHA Specialty Recognition Board, and Vice Chair of the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.He has served his community in many roles including being a member of the Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo school board, the River Manor Senior Housing Authority, the Kiwanis Board of Directors, and as Past Director of the Michigan Association for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Dr. Burrows has served in the military, where he was the Assistant Chief of Audiology and Speech Pathology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.He was an Associate Professor and the Director of the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western Illinois University prior to becoming the President and Executive Director of the Constance Brown Hearing Centers where he served for 13 years.Presently, he is a consultant in business and practice management.
He has one daughter, Lauren, is an avid golfer, and enjoys running and bicycling. -
